MARK16:16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
What a powerful statement when read and even more chilling when fully understood. We have a decision to make in our lives. That statement means that we have a choice as to where we spend eternity. 2 PETER 3:9 "The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance".
This verse explains the delay in Christs coming. The Lord has held back on His day of judgement to allow as many as will, to come to Him in redemption. To be forgiven and saved from condemnation and eternal separation. Remember John 3:16 “for God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son”. Read how long the Lord waited to destroy the world with water, He waits longer now. As it was with Noah. Genesis: 5 And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
6 And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.
7 And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.
8 But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.
9 These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.
And in Matthew 24: 37-39 we are told” But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.”
We have been warned and now the decision is ours to make. The time for acceptance is now as we do not know the time of Christs return. The Gospel is taught so you and I can know the word of God. So we can be saved through the sacrifice of the Lord.
Through Jesus we have been saved and raised with Him to eternal salvation. All we have to do is come to Jesus in faith that He is the Son of God. That He died and was raised from His death. That He is the ultimate sacrifice for our sins. That through Him we have been made perfect in the eyes of God and are holy. No rituals are required, just faith and belief. Faith that He is who He says He is and belief that He can do what He says He can do. That God will hold you close to Himself and give you a peace that no one can understand. This leads to a new life, a life you will understand as you live in faith, fears will disappear and all anxieties will fade.
Know that the Lord is the final answer, that He is the only way to heaven. Jesus said the no one comes to the Father except through Him. God does not force antone to heaven, nor doers He force anyone to hell, He lets us choose. That He is the way, the truth and the life. So when we read the bible, asking the Lord for understanding, His word becomes clear to us. God Himself speaks to us through His written word. As understanding comes through to us, we see life differently, trust becomes easier in His word. Just believe and be saved, come to the Lord and see His work start in you. All anyone has to do is accept the loving grace of God and be saved. I can describe what hell really is like but taht is not my focus. My main job is to preach the gospel of Christ thta leads to salvation. AMEN
